1 Overview of the Credential Recognition Centre
Established in 2016, the Credential Recognition Centre (Vietnam National Academic Recognition Information Centre – VN-NARIC) is a public service unit under the Department of Quality Management – Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.
2 Functions & Duties

Recognition of foreign credentials: Provides services for recognising credentials issued by foreign educational institutions for use in Vietnam, in accordance with regulations of the Minister of Education and Training.

Verification of degrees and certificates: Provides services for verifying information on degrees and certificates under the management scope of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as those issued abroad.

Supply of credential blanks: Supplies blank degree and certificate templates within the management scope of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Information system management: Develops and manages information systems and databases on degrees and certificates.

Research, advisory, and professional development: Provides advisory, research, training, and information services to organisations and individuals regarding degrees, certificates, credential recognition, academic results, credit systems, grading, training programmes, accredited/quality-assured institutions (domestic and international), joint training programmes, and quality assurance and accreditation.

Organising forums and conferences: Organises forums, conferences, and discussions on selecting training programmes and institutions (domestic and foreign), as well as issues related to mutual recognition of credentials and academic results, verification of degree and certificate information, and other education support services.

International connectivity: Acts as Vietnam's focal point for liaison with credential and academic recognition centres of other countries to facilitate two-way information exchange; responds to foreign partners' enquiries about Vietnam's education system and credentials issued by Vietnamese educational institutions.
