Bachelor’s Degree
University education is equivalent to Level 6 in Vietnam’s National Qualification Framework.
1. Objectives
University education shall help students acquire in-depth professional knowledge and fluently practical skills in one profession with the ability to work independently and creatively as well as to solve problems in the field of study. 2. Entrance Requirements
University-level training program graduates must be attended by students who have graduated from the upper secondary education level; those who have graduated from intermediate-level training programs, or have completed and passed tests in the volume of cultural knowledge required for the upper secondary education level in accordance with regulations imposed by the Ministry of Education and Training; those who have completed college-level training programs. 3. Training Period

4. Academic Load

5. Training Programs
Bachelor’s degree education is divided into two branches, including pure research and applied research.
- Pure research-oriented training programs are designed with targets and contents oriented towards specialization in basic principles or theories in scientific fields that help to develop source technologies forming a foundation for development of applied scientific and technological fields.
- Applied research-oriented training programs are designed with targets and contents oriented towards development of basic research results, application of source technologies with a view to making them become technological solutions, administration processes and design of full tools that meet various human demands. 7. Outcome Standards
Level 6 certifies the education level of learners who have:
- Firm practical and comprehensive theoretical knowledge about a field of work or study and general knowledge about social science, politics, nature, culture, society, law and information technology;
- Have awareness related to criticism, analysis and consolidation;
- Have professional skills and communicative skills required to solve complex tasks or issues, work in groups or work individually in changeable contexts, take personal responsibility and responsibility for providing guidance and disseminating knowledge in the field of study and have capacity to supervise ordinary tasks of others. 8. Degrees
Learners who complete the training program and satisfy the outcome standards of Level 6 shall be issued with the Bachelor’s degree.
Degree classification:
Degree classification is determined by GPA (Grade Point Average) of all accumulated subjects during the course as follows:

University degrees of technical fields are called engineer degree; of architecture are called architect degree, of medicines and pharmaceuticals are called medical doctor, pharmacist and bachelor degree; of basic sciences, education, law, economics are called bachelor degree, of all other fields are called university degree. University-level training program graduates may opt to move up to the master's degree education level where appropriate for their majors in the previous training program, or may be admitted into the training program that provides majors different from their previous ones if they meet requirements of the training program. University-level training program graduates that have achieved excellent study results can be qualified for direct admission to the doctorate-degree training program in which they can continue to study their majors at the university-level education level.
